An area devoted to excellence

Azienda Agricola Pinino covers a total of 21 hectares, of which 16.24 are dedicated to vineyards: 7.67 hectares for Brunello di Montalcino, 5.42 hectares for Rosso di Montalcino, and 3.15 hectares for Sant’Antimo Sangiovese. The vineyards of Azienda Agricola Pinino are located in two distinct pedoclimatic areas, each with unique terroir and exposures, capable of giving Pinino wines a refined and distinctive complexity: the Vigne di Pinino, at the base of the estate cru, and the Vigne Canchi.

The vineyards

Pinino

Located to the north, near the prestigious Montosoli area, these vineyards face southeast and rest on a skeleton-rich soil composed mainly of marl, alberese and tuff. Thanks to the continental microclimate and soil qualities, the wines produced here exhibit elegance and good balance, with lively acidity, structure and a pleasant fruity note. The heart of the property, the Pinino vineyards boast historic plantings: one and a half hectares dating back to 1980, one hectare planted in 2000 and another in 2014. Altogether, the acreage covers 3.5 hectares.

Canchi

Canchi’s vineyards, located to the northeast and with southeastern exposure, have predominantly clayey soils in the upper part that fade into silt and tuff towards the lower part. The mild climate favors a progressive and optimal ripening of Sangiovese Grosso, giving the wines structure and intensity. With a total area of 12.75 hectares, the vines have an average age of 20 years, planted between 1997 and 2007. Thanks to the variety of soils and climatic conditions, Pinino wines fully express the richness and personality of each terroir.
